Intro

Ledgy offers a full operational reporting suite designed to support the administering and auditing of your cap table and equity plans. You can create and edit dynamic reports and create your own custom views to suit 1000's of specific use cases.


Where can I find the operational reports?

  1. Go to Reporting > Operational.

  2. Select the report you want from the list.


Which reports are available?

This article explains the purpose and use cases for each default preset report available. All reports can be exported to Excel or CSV format for further sophisticated reporting requirements.

Transactions Report

The Transactions Report provides a complete chronological record of all equity-related transactions in your company. This includes share issuances, transfers, cancellations, and any other movements affecting your cap table. You can use the Transactions Report to;

  1. Track the history of all equity movements in your company

  2. Verify transaction details such as dates, share prices, and involved stakeholders

  3. Export transaction data for audits, due diligence, or financial reporting

  4. Filter transactions by type, date range, or stakeholder to focus on specific areas

Grants Report

All equity grants made to stakeholders, including options, RSUs, phantom shares, and other equity instruments. It provides detailed information about grant dates, vesting schedules, exercise prices, expiry, terminations, settlements, etc.

Pool activity Report

Ttracks all movements in your company's equity incentive pools. It shows allocations from these pools to stakeholders and the remaining available equity in each pool.

Stakeholder Holdings Report

A comprehensive view of what each stakeholder owns in your company, including shares, options, and other equity instruments, both on a fully-diluted and non-diluted basis.

Exercised and Settled Report

All option exercises and equity settlements that have occurred, including when stakeholders have exercised or converted options or other equity instruments into actual shares.

Historical Forfeiture Report

Shows all equity that has been forfeited or canceled, typically due to employee departures or performance conditions not being met. It tracks the original grants, forfeiture dates, and amounts.

Vesting Report

A forward-looking view of all upcoming vesting events by tranche across all stakeholders. It shows when equity will vest, in what amounts, and for which stakeholders. You can use this report to;

  • Plan for future equity vesting events

  • Forecast potential dilution from vesting equity

  • Prepare for communications to stakeholders about their vesting

  • Budget for potential cash requirements if stakeholders exercise

  • Schedule reminders for milestone-based vesting events


Global Mobility:

Work Locations Report

Tracks where your stakeholders have worked over time, which is crucial for equity taxation in multiple jurisdictions. It shows work location histories and durations. You can use this report to;

  • Track where employees with equity have worked

  • Calculate tax obligations in different jurisdictions

  • Prepare documentation for tax authorities

  • Plan for potential tax implications of employee relocations

  • Generate supporting documentation for tax filings

Vesting Tranches Report

Shows how vesting events are distributed across different tax jurisdictions based on where stakeholders have worked during the vesting period. You can use this report to;

  • Identify which portions of vesting equity are taxable in which jurisdictions

  • Calculate tax withholding requirements across multiple countries

  • Prepare regulatory filings for equity compensation in different locations

  • Support stakeholders in understanding their multi-jurisdiction tax obligations

  • Document compliance with international equity taxation requirements


None of the reports fit my use case. How can I customise a report?

Apply filters

Within a report, you can filter on several fields.

  1. Click the filter button on the desired column, indicate whether you want to include/exclude and choose one or more values from the selection.

    1. It is possible to choose filters on more than one column/field at a time.

Report groupings and customisation

Utilise Ledgy reporting as you would an excel pivot table by dragging and dropping columns.

  1. Drag columns directly from the table heading and drop it where it indicates "Drag here to set rows":

  2. Add numerous groupings at a time to add further granularity to your reports:

  3. Enable unselected columns from the selection box on the right hand side of the report table:

Save the customised report

Once you have set up your report, you can save it for later use by clicking on the "Save as new view" button.

It will then be available from the full list of reports for anyone to use once saved:
