What are share numbers and why use them?
Share numbers assign a unique identifier to each share in your company, creating a chronological sequence based on issuance date. Unlike certificate numbers, share numbers track individual shares throughout your company's lifecycle.
Share numbers are legally required in several jurisdictions:
In Germany, "Aktiennummern" must be recorded in the "Aktienregister" according to the Gesellschafterlistenverordnung
They're also used in the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, and other countries
Ledgy's share numbering feature helps you:
Maintain regulatory compliance
