What types of emails can I expect to receive from Ledgy?

Ledgy sends various types of notifications to keep you informed about important updates, requests, and changes related to your equity. This article explains all notification types you might receive, when they're sent, and why they matter to you.

Stakeholder-Related Notifications

These notifications are sent to stakeholders (employees, investors, or other equity holders) to keep them updated about their equity and required actions.

Invitation and Registration Emails

Invitation Email

  • Subject line: "{Sender Name} invites you to join Ledgy!"

  • Who receives it: New stakeholders who have been added to the platform

  • Purpose: This email invites you to register and join Ledgy to view and manage your equity holdings

  • What to do: Click the invitation link and follow the registration steps to set up your account

Invitation Reminder

  • Subject line: "Follow up on your invitation to join Ledgy."

  • Who receives it: Stakeholders who haven't yet responded to their initial invitation

  • Purpose: This is a friendly reminder about your pending invitation to join Ledgy

  • What to do: Check your inbox for the original invitation or use the link in this reminder to complete your registration

Portfolio and Transaction Notifications

Portfolio Change Notification

  • Subject line: "A new or updated transaction affects your portfolio."

  • Who receives it: Stakeholders whose equity holdings have changed

  • Purpose: This notifies you when there's been a change to your equity portfolio, such as a new grant, exercise, or other transaction

  • What to do: Log in to your Ledgy account to view the details of the change to your portfolio

Document and Signature Notifications

Signature Request

  • Subject line: "{Company Name} invites you to sign a document."

  • Who receives it: Stakeholders who need to electronically sign equity-related documents

  • Purpose: This requests your electronic signature on important documents like grant agreements

  • What to do: Click the link in the email to review and sign the document

Signature Reminder

  • Subject line: "Reminder: Pending signatures on Ledgy."

  • Who receives it: Stakeholders with outstanding signature requests

  • Purpose: This reminds you about documents still awaiting your signature

  • What to do: Log in to your Ledgy account to complete the pending signatures

Company Updates and Exercise Windows

Published Update Notification

  • Who receives it: Stakeholders who have been included in a company update

  • Purpose: This notifies you when your company has shared important information or reports

  • What to do: Review the update by following the link in the email

Exercise Window Opening Notification

Weekly Digest

  • Who receives it: Company administrators and collaborators

  • Purpose: This provides a summary of weekly activities on your company's Ledgy account

  • What to do: Review the digest to stay informed about recent activities and changes

Published Reports Notification

  • Subject line: "{Sender Name} shared an update with you on Ledgy."

  • Who receives it: Stakeholders and collaborators included in report sharing

  • Purpose: This notifies you when new reports have been published and shared with you

  • What to do: Click the link to view the published reports

Access Role Change Notification

  • Who receives it: Users whose access permissions have been modified

Vesting-Related Notifications

  • Who receives it: Stakeholders approaching their cliff vesting date

  • Purpose: This notifies you when the initial portion of your grant is about to vest after the cliff period

  • What to do: Log in to see details about your vesting schedule and upcoming vested equity

Regular Time-Based Vesting Event

  • Who receives it: Stakeholders with ongoing vesting schedules

  • Purpose: This alerts you about regular vesting events occurring according to your specific schedule

  • What to do: Review your updated equity position after each vesting event

Vesting End Notification

  • Purpose: This notifies you when specific performance conditions have been met for your equity to vest

  • What to do: Log in to see the updated vesting status based on achieved performance metrics

Managing Your Notification Preferences

You can customize which notifications you receive from Ledgy by adjusting your notification preferences:

  1. Log in to your Ledgy account

  2. Navigate to your profile settings

  3. Select "Notification Preferences"

  4. Choose which notifications you want to receive and which you'd prefer to disable

  5. Save your preferences

If you're not receiving expected notifications, please check:
