Introduction
Need to grant temporary support access, retrieve your API key or delete your account? This guide covers these critical account management functions for Ledgy administrators. All these actions require account collaborator access and can be performed through your company or firm settings. Follow the step-by-step instructions to manage your account efficiently and securely.
To access the following account functions, you must be a collaborator with account owner permissions.
How do you grant support access?
If anything is wrong with your Ledgy account, contact Ledgy's support through email or live chat. For the support team to help you solve the problem as quickly as possible, it is sometimes necessary to grant support access so that the team has access to your account and can better identify and fix the problem.
For company accounts:
Go to Company Settings > Collaborators > and then click the Grant support access button on the top-right of the page.
A new window opens, and you decide how many days you want to grant access to your account and confirm the settings.
You can revoke the account access at any time by pressing the Revoke button.
For investment firm accounts:
Go to Firm Settings > Collaborators > and then click the Grant support access button on the top-right of the page.
A new window opens, and you decide how many days you want to grant access to your account and confirm the settings.
You can revoke the account access at any time by pressing the Revoke button.
How to manage your API key?
Ledgy provides an API. You can use it to pull your cap table data. The following link will take you to the API documentation.
To access the API, you need your API key. Please follow the steps below:
Go to Company Settings > General > Find the Danger Zone panel > Click the Reveal button.
A new window opens and reveals your API key.
Copy and save your API key.
Rotating your API key
If you need to replace your API key (for example, after a key has been compromised or a team member has left), you can rotate it directly from the same modal:
After revealing your API key (steps above), click the Rotate key button at the bottom-left of the modal.
A confirmation dialog appears warning you that the current key will be immediately invalidated. Any integrations using the old key will stop working.
Click Rotate key to confirm.
Your new API key is displayed immediately. Copy and save it, then update any integrations that used the old key.
Important: Rotation is instant and irreversible. The old key stops working the moment you confirm. Make sure you are ready to update your integrations before rotating.
How to delete your Ledgy account?
If you want to permanently delete the Ledgy account with all its data from your company, you can do this in the account settings.
For company accounts:
Go to Company Settings > General > Find the Danger Zone panel > Click the Delete button.
A new window opens, enter your account name and confirm the deletion.
