What can I see in the new stakeholder dashboard grant cards for Tranche Builder grants?

Understand what the grant card summary and detailed view show for stakeholders with Tranche Builder vesting grants.

Written by Product Team

Introduction

The grant card gives you a clearer view of your equity, including what has already vested, what may vest in the future, and any upcoming actions you may need to take. You can use the summary card in Your equity for a quick overview, or open the detailed grant view to understand the timeline, values, vesting events, performance conditions, and upcoming actions linked to a specific grant.

This article explains how the new summary grant card and detailed grant view help you understand your equity at a glance. It covers where to find your grant information, what each value and status means, and how to explore your vesting timeline, upcoming events, and potential equity value in more detail.

Before you start

Note: This is currently only rolled out for Tranche Builder grants, so you will only see for these grants.

Before you start, note that the information you see depends on your company’s settings and the type of grant you have.

  • You need access to the Stakeholder Dashboard

  • You need to have received Tranche builder grants to see the new grant card summary and detailed view (tranche builder is a new vesting type that your admins can select when issuing grants)

  • The values shown depend on your company’s settings. If your company hides valuations, Ledgy shows units instead of currency values.

Where to find your new grant cards?

  1. Go to Stakeholder Dashboard

  2. Navigate to Your equity and find a Tranche builder grant

  3. Each grant appears as a card showing the most important information at a glance, including the grant name, grant date, progress, current value, and any available actions.

What the summary grant card shows

The summary grant card helps you quickly understand the current state of a grant.

It can show:

  • Number of events and performance conditions: In the top right hand side of the grant card you will see the progress of vesting events and performance conditions (if applicable) and their evaluated status

  • Today’s value: the estimated current value of the portion of the grant you have already earned or vested.

  • Max. potential value: the estimated value of the remaining grant opportunity, based on the latest available valuation.

  • Vesting progress: a progress bar showing how the grant is split between statuses such as vested, pending, paused, forfeited, or settled.

  • Grant progress: for example, how many milestones or vesting events have been completed.

Actions: such as View details, Exercise, Interested to Sell where available.

Values are estimates and may change when your company’s valuation, share price, grant status, or performance outcomes change.

Access the detailed grant view

Select the information icon (i) on a grant card to open the detailed grant page.

The detailed view explains how your grant changes over time. It shows the key dates, milestones, vesting events, performance conditions, and upcoming actions that make up the grant.

Use this view when you want to understand why a value or status is shown on the summary card.

Depending on the grant and what it includes there are two specific sections:

  • Vesting progress (detailed view) - The vesting progress view shows how your grant develops over time. It breaks the grant into past, current, upcoming, and completed events, so you can see which units have vested, which are still pending, and which are no longer expected to vest.

  • Performance conditions (detailed view) - The performance conditions view explains any targets attached to your grant. It shows which conditions have been evaluated, which have been achieved (over or underachieved) or unattained, and how those outcomes affect your vesting and potential value.

Vesting progress detailed view

The vesting progress section shows how your grant moves from granted to vested, settled, exercised, released, or no longer available.

It helps you understand:

  • What has already happened: past vesting events, exercised or settled units, and any units that are no longer available.

  • Where you are today: the timeline includes a marker showing today’s position in the schedule.

  • What happens next: upcoming vesting dates, exercise windows, performance evaluations, or other future events.

  • How much has progressed: the progress bar shows the portion of the grant that has vested, settled, or is still pending.

  • Why something has not vested: expanded events can show whether units are waiting for time-based vesting, a performance condition, or another company action.

Expanded Vesting Events

You can expand a vesting event to see the details behind that part of your grant. This helps explain what happened on a specific date, how many units were affected, and why the event has its current status.

An expanded event may show:

  • Status: whether the units are vested, pending, paused, settled, exercised, released, unattained, forfeited, cancelled, or expired.

  • Vest date: the date the units vested, released, or are expected to vest.

  • Value: the estimated value of the units in that event, if valuations are visible.

  • Units: the number of units included in the event.

  • Vesting type: for example time-based vesting, performance-based vesting, cliff vesting, pause, or acceleration.

  • Allocation: how many units are linked to that specific milestone or event.

  • Detail: a short explanation of the event

Performance condition detailed view

Some grants only vest if certain performance conditions are met. These conditions may relate to company, individual, market, or other agreed targets.

If your grant has performance conditions, Ledgy shows a summary of how many conditions have been evaluated and the total number of conditions.

Where performance conditions apply, the detailed view may show:

  • How many conditions have been evaluated.

  • Which conditions are achieved, partially achieved, unattained, or not yet evaluated.

  • Target dates and evaluation dates.

  • How the outcome affects vesting and potential value.

Common statuses include:

  • Not evaluated: the condition has not yet been assessed.

  • Achieved: the condition has been met, we will cover in here specifically conditions that are overachieved and underacheived.

  • Unattained: the condition was not met, so the related units are no longer expected to vest.

You may also see target dates, evaluation dates, and notes where your company has provided more context.

Frequently asked questions

Why do I see units instead of a currency value?

Your company may have chosen to hide valuations. When this happens, Ledgy shows grant units instead of estimated currency values.

Why does today’s value not match max. potential value?

Today’s value only reflects the portion already earned or vested. Max. potential value includes remaining future potential, based on the latest available valuation and grant status.

Why are some units pending?

Some units may be waiting for a future vesting date, performance evaluation, exercise window, or company action.

Why can’t I see a detailed view on every grant?

The detailed grant page is currently only specific to grants that use the tranche builder for vesting. Some grants may still use the existing modal view for details about the grant.

Why are some events pending or paused?

Some grants depend on future dates, company actions, or performance evaluations. Pending or paused events help explain why units have not vested or progressed yet.

What does unattained mean?

Unattained units are no longer expected to vest or become available. This may happen if performance conditions are not met or if units are terminated, cancelled, forfeited, or expired.

How do we visualise terminations/expirations?

Terminated units and expired units are shown as Unattained on tranche builder grant cards in the vesting progress bar in red. They are separated from units that can still vest and are not available to exercise or settle. If only part of the grant is terminated, the remaining units continue to follow the original vesting schedule. Once units expire, they are no longer available to exercise or settle.
