Adding Document Templates to your Plans

Add document templates as grant presets per plan

Written by Support Team

By attaching document templates to your grant presets, you can create automatic document templating and signature workflows on Ledgy for grants created after the template has been added.

Click here for more on grant presets.

To add document templates on grant presets per plan:

  1. If you have not created the plan already, go to Equity Plans > Pools & Plans

  2. Equity Plan Transactions > Add plan

  3. Fill in the relevant parameters. Here you can also add preset prices and vesting schedules for example.

  4. Open Documents & Signatures

  5. Select Grant template if available

  6. Select Exercise template if available

  7. Select Termination template if available

  8. Click the checkbox Create documents from template document if applicable

  9. Click the checkbox Prepare Signature Requests from template documents if applicable

Note: If a template or attached document that was previously linked here is deleted later, Ledgy will still show that reference in the selector as deleted when you edit the plan or related transaction. This lets you spot stale links and remove or replace them instead of the field appearing empty.

*Note: The document size should not exceed 32 MB.

Every grant created from this plan will have pre-populated presets and document templates attached.

The presets are in effect until you next change them on the plan. If you wish to change a preset, then edit the Plan, make the changes and save. These changes will impact any grants made after this change, but will not retroactively change the parameters of previously issued grants.

You can still add and change these presets at Plans, Grants and Transactions level if needed:

  • Under Equity Plans > Pools & Plans > Edit Initial Plan

  • Under Equity Plans > Grants > Three Dots > Edit

  • Under Ownership > Transactions > Three Dots > Edit
