Introduction

When you add stakeholders to your Ledgy project, you can assign transactions (issuing shares or awarding grants) to these stakeholders. For your stakeholders to view the shares or grants assigned to them in their personal Ledgy accounts, you need to invite them. The following email will be sent regularly.

Subject:
{Company name} invites you to join Ledgy

Email:

Hello {name},

At {Company name} we are rolling out Ledgy, a collaboration platform that helps you understand your equity and track its growth over time. We will use Ledgy to share the latest equity transactions, company updates, and documents to sign.

Please accept this invitation to start your equity journey on Ledgy. It only takes 2 minutes!

Kind regards,

{Collaborator name}

You can customise the email text according to your requirements.

  2. In the new window, change the subject line and the message body.

  3. (Optional) Send a test email to check the layout.

  4. Click the Save button to save the changes.

Where are email notifications sent?

In general, If the user has not yet accepted the invite and created a user account, email notifications go to the stakeholder email defined in your account's stakeholder profile. If the user has already accepted and created a user account, email notifications go to the user account email.

The user account email is NOT necessarily the stakeholder's primary email in your company account, as users can freely choose their email address when creating a user account (unless SSO is activated, in which case a free choice of email is not possible).

In the following, various use cases are listed, as well as where email notifications are sent.
